Coil binding also known as spiral binding, is a commonly used book binding style for documents. Documents bound with helical coil (usually called spiral coil) can open flat on a desk or table and offer 360 degree rotation for easy note taking. This binding style is durable and is often used for documents that need to be mailed. Spiral coil binding spines are also available in more colors and sizes than other binding styles.
This is a versatile solution for many book binding needs as it is durable, lays flat, very cost-effective, can be opened past the lay flat limit and fold over onto itself, and gives a more finished look because the connectors and hinges’ ends are hidden on the inside back cover.
