KYA S05-10PH Polymer Composite Staples are 16 gauge non-metal fasteners with a 12.7mm / 1/2 inch crown and a 9.5mm / approximately 3/8 inch leg length. They are designed for cabinetry, woodworking, lumber processing, casegoods, house wrap, radiant barrier and other applications where conventional metal staples may be undesirable.
The S05-10PH uses polymer composite material with a smooth shank and an approximately 1.35mm staple width. Standard packing is 5,040 staples per box and 32 boxes per carton.
Polymer composite construction provides a non-metal, non-conductive fastening option and allows compatible workpieces to be cut, sanded, routed or planed without leaving a conventional steel fastener in the material.

The S05-10PH is specifically the 9.5mm leg model. Other S05 Series products are available in different lengths and packaging configurations.
The S05-10PH uses a 12.7mm / 1/2 inch crown, a common size for industrial polymer composite fastening systems.
Crown width is one of the critical dimensions for tool compatibility. When replacing an existing composite staple, confirm the crown, leg length and staple cross-section against the stapler specification.
The S05-10PH has a listed leg length of 9.5mm, approximately equivalent to 3/8 inch. This length is suitable for applications where moderate penetration is required without using the longer 14mm S05-14PH staple.
Final fastener length should be selected according to the substrate thickness, material density, required holding performance and the accepted staple range of the pneumatic or manual tool.
The S05-10PH is a 16 gauge polymer composite staple intended for applications requiring a substantial non-metal fastener.
Holding performance depends on staple material, substrate, penetration depth and application conditions. Test the selected staple in the actual wood, composite, insulation or panel material before repetitive production.
The polymer composite staple does not introduce a conventional steel fastener into the finished workpiece. This can be useful in manufacturing processes where metal fasteners may interfere with later machining, inspection or product requirements.
The polymer material is also non-conductive. For electrical or other safety-critical assemblies, verify the complete installed system according to the applicable project requirements.
Because the staple body is polymer composite rather than carbon steel, it does not develop conventional steel rust or create the rust staining associated with untreated metal fasteners.
Suitability for humid, wet, chemical or high-temperature environments still depends on the polymer grade, substrate and complete application conditions.
Polymer composite staples are commonly selected where the fastened workpiece may later be sawed, sanded, routed, shaped or planed.
Unlike a conventional metal staple, the polymer fastener can be processed together with compatible wood and composite materials. Cutting-tool performance still depends on staple grade, blade or cutter material and machining conditions, so production testing is recommended.
S05-10PH staples can be used where manufacturers want to reduce the presence of metallic fasteners in timber, cabinetry, composites or finished products.
For production lines using metal-detection equipment, validate the finished product with the actual detector settings and sensitivity. The non-metal composition of the staple alone should not be treated as a guarantee for every detection system.
The S05 family uses a 12.7mm crown and 1.35mm listed width across several leg lengths. The S05-10PH is the 9.5mm version with 5,040 staples per box.

Both S05-10PH and S05-10 are listed with a 12.7mm crown, 1.35mm width, 9.5mm leg and 5,040 staples per box.
The listed carton packing differs: S05-10PH is supplied at 32 boxes per carton, while S05-10 is listed at 40 boxes per carton. Buyers should specify the exact model suffix and packaging requirement when ordering.
Current 16 gauge composite staplers are available for 1/2-inch crown polymer fasteners from approximately 3/8 inch to 9/16 inch in length. This dimensional range includes the 9.5mm / 3/8 inch S05-10PH format.
KYA references BeA 95/14-650, Spotnails 95/14-650 and Fasco PS50-650 systems. Exact compatibility should be confirmed from the tool model, magazine specification, crown width, cross-section and accepted leg length.

The S05-10PH is intended for professional non-metal fastening where a 9.5mm polymer staple provides suitable penetration into the receiving substrate.

Casegoods manufacturing
Woodworking and millwork
Casket lining
Lumber tagging
Lumber wrap
House wrap
Radiant barrier installation

Selected insulation fastening
PVC and non-metal millwork applications where the fastener specification is suitable
Polymer composite staples can be useful in cabinet and woodworking production where the fastened component may later be trimmed, routed, shaped or sanded.
The 9.5mm leg provides moderate penetration for compatible components. Holding performance should be verified in the actual timber, panel product or composite substrate before production use.
S05-10PH staples can be considered for selected house-wrap, radiant-barrier and insulation applications where a 9.5mm polymer staple is appropriate for the membrane and receiving substrate.
The correct staple length, spacing and installation method depend on the membrane, insulation system and substrate. Follow the material manufacturer's installation instructions rather than assuming that one staple length is suitable for every wrap or barrier.
Non-metal staples are commonly used for lumber tagging, wrapping and temporary fastening when timber may later pass through cutting, routing, planing or sanding processes.
This reduces the risk associated with leaving a conventional steel staple in material that will later be machined. Tooling compatibility should still be validated with the selected polymer grade.

The S05-10PH is a 16 gauge polymer composite staple with a 12.7mm / 1/2 inch crown, 1.35mm listed width and 9.5mm leg length.
Yes. A 9.5mm staple leg is approximately equivalent to 3/8 inch.
They are made from non-metal polymer composite material.
The polymer staple itself does not develop conventional steel rust because it does not use a steel staple body.
The polymer composite fastener is non-conductive. For electrical or safety-critical applications, verify the complete installed assembly against the applicable requirements.
Polymer composite staples are commonly used where the workpiece may later be sawed, sanded, routed or planed. Compatibility should be validated with the actual staple grade and tooling.
No absolute guarantee should be assumed. Polymer fasteners reduce the problems associated with striking steel staples, but cutting-tool performance depends on the polymer grade, cutter material and machining conditions.
The staples provide mechanical fastening in compatible substrates. Some polymer systems may develop additional interaction with the surrounding material during driving, but actual joint strength should be tested in the intended application.
Yes. Cabinetry and casegoods are among the listed applications where the 9.5mm staple provides suitable penetration.
Yes, where a 9.5mm polymer staple meets the membrane and substrate requirements. Follow the membrane or insulation manufacturer's specified fastening method and staple spacing.
No. The correct leg length depends on the membrane, substrate, required penetration and installation specification. Do not select the S05-10PH solely because it is 9.5mm long.
Yes. Lumber tagging and lumber wrap are common applications for polymer composite staples.
The staple itself is non-metal polymer composite. However, detector sensitivity and finished-product construction vary, so any detection-sensitive process should be validated with the actual system.
