KYA GC20 Series corrugated fasteners are steel-sheet wood joining fasteners designed for furniture, frame, cabinet, pallet repair and other professional woodworking applications. The corrugated profile is driven across a wood joint so the alternating ridges engage both adjoining components and reinforce the connection.
The GC20 Series uses a 26.4mm wide profile and 0.5mm thick steel sheet. Two lengths are available: 10mm GC2010 and 13mm GC2013. These dimensions give furniture manufacturers, frame shops, woodworking factories and fastener distributors two penetration depths within the same GC20 family.

GC20 fasteners are formed from thin steel sheet with an alternating corrugated profile. When driven across adjoining wood components, the fastener spans the joint and its corrugated edges engage the surrounding wood.
This fastening method is commonly used in production environments where wooden frames, face frames, boxes, furniture components and other jointed wood parts need mechanical reinforcement.
The GC20 Series has a specified width of 26.4mm. The relatively wide profile allows the fastener to bridge a substantial portion of a wood joint and engage material on both sides of the connection.
GC20 fasteners are manufactured from 0.5mm steel sheet. The thin steel construction allows the corrugated fastener to penetrate suitable wood components when driven with compatible equipment.
The alternating corrugated shape creates multiple contact points along the fastener. When correctly installed across a wood joint, these edges engage the adjoining wood components and reinforce the connection.
GC2010 provides a 10mm fastener length, while GC2013 provides a 13mm length. The appropriate size should be selected according to the wood thickness, joint geometry and required penetration depth.
GC2010 is listed at 12,000 pieces per carton and GC2013 at 9,000 pieces per carton, supporting purchasing requirements for furniture factories, frame shops, woodworking plants and fastener distributors.
| Item | Length | Width | Thickness | Finish | Packing |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| GC2010 | 10mm | 26.4mm | 0.5mm | Bright / Galvanized | 12,000 pcs / carton |
| GC2013 | 13mm | 26.4mm | 0.5mm | Bright / Galvanized | 9,000 pcs / carton |
Corrugated fasteners are commonly used to reinforce wood-to-wood joints in furniture, frames, cabinetry and related production work. The GC20 fastener length should be selected according to the material thickness and joint design.

General woodworking joint reinforcement
For structural or load-critical wood connections, the required fastener and joint design should be determined according to the applicable engineering specification rather than selecting the GC20 solely by its dimensions.
A corrugated fastener differs from an ordinary nail because it has a wide, wavy steel profile rather than a single round or square shank. The fastener is typically positioned so that it crosses the joint between two wood components.
As the fastener enters the wood, its alternating edges engage material on both sides of the joint. This makes corrugated fasteners useful for reinforcing mitre joints, butt joints and frame assemblies where a wide joining fastener is appropriate.
| Feature | Corrugated Fastener | Conventional Nail |
|---|---|---|
| Profile | Wide corrugated steel strip | Individual nail shank |
| Joint Engagement | Designed to bridge and engage both sides of a wood joint | Fastens along the individual nail path |
| Typical Use | Frames, furniture, cabinets and wood joint reinforcement | General wood fastening |
| GC20 Specification | 26.4mm wide, 10mm or 13mm long | Not applicable |
Bright steel corrugated fasteners are an option for suitable woodworking and manufacturing applications where additional zinc coating is not specified.
Galvanized fasteners have a zinc-coated steel surface that provides additional corrosion protection compared with untreated bright steel. The appropriate finish should be selected according to the operating environment and project requirements.
If another surface treatment is required, provide the complete finish specification when requesting a quotation so availability for the required GC20 size can be confirmed.
Corrugated fastener tools are designed around specific fastener dimensions. Crown or fastener width, fastener length, thickness, magazine configuration and driver design must all match the fastener being used.
GC20 has a specified width of 26.4mm, so buyers should not select a tool only because it is described as a 1-inch corrugated fastener tool. One inch equals 25.4mm, and different tool manufacturers may use different nominal dimensions within the general 1-inch fastener category.
| Fastener Series | GC20 |
| Specified Width | 26.4mm |
| Available Lengths | 10mm / 13mm |
| Thickness | 0.5mm |
| Required Tool | Corrugated fastener tool compatible with the complete GC20 dimensions |
| Before Ordering | Provide the exact tool manufacturer and model for compatibility confirmation |
GC2010 uses a 10mm fastener length with the same 26.4mm width and 0.5mm thickness as the rest of the GC20 Series. It should be selected where the joint and material thickness are suitable for a 10mm fastener.
GC2013 increases the fastener length to 13mm while retaining the same 26.4mm width and 0.5mm steel-sheet thickness. It provides an alternative where additional penetration is required and the wood component is sufficiently thick.
| Specification | GC2010 | GC2013 |
|---|---|---|
| Length | 10mm | 13mm |
| Width | 26.4mm | 26.4mm |
| Thickness | 0.5mm | 0.5mm |
| Packing | 12,000 pcs / carton | 9,000 pcs / carton |
| Selection | For assemblies suitable for 10mm penetration | For assemblies requiring the specified 13mm length |
For accurate product matching and quotation, specify the required GC20 length, finish, purchasing quantity and the corrugated fastening tool being used.
If GC20 fasteners are being purchased as replacements for an existing fastener, provide the original fastener dimensions or a sample specification in addition to the tool model. This helps distinguish GC20 from other corrugated fastener series with similar nominal widths.
Listed purchasing terms include a 1,000-piece sample box with freight paid by the recipient, a minimum order quantity of 50 cartons (one pallet), and OEM packaging. Confirm current sample availability, freight, MOQ and packaging requirements when requesting a quotation.
Bostitch CF15 and Spotnails GC20 are named as compatible tool models for this series. Compatibility can vary by exact tool model and fastener dimensions; verify the 26.4mm width, 0.5mm thickness, selected length, magazine and driver specifications with the tool manufacturer before ordering.

GC20 corrugated fasteners are designed for joining and reinforcing wood components. Typical applications include picture frames, furniture frames, cabinet face frames, drawers, wooden boxes, door and window components and pallet repair.
The GC20 Series has a specified width of 26.4mm and thickness of 0.5mm. Available lengths are 10mm for GC2010 and 13mm for GC2013.
The specified GC20 width is 26.4mm. One inch equals 25.4mm, so 26.4mm is approximately 1.04 inches. For tool selection and replacement fasteners, use the actual 26.4mm specification rather than relying only on the nominal 1-inch description.
Both versions are 26.4mm wide and 0.5mm thick. GC2010 is 10mm long, while GC2013 is 13mm long. The correct version depends on the wood thickness and required fastener penetration.
KYA currently lists GC2010 at 12,000 pieces per carton and GC2013 at 9,000 pieces per carton.
The GC2010 and GC2013 specification table lists bright and galvanized finishes. If another surface treatment is required, confirm availability for the required size when requesting a quotation.
Not necessarily. Tool compatibility depends on the exact fastener width, length, thickness, magazine and driver configuration. Because GC20 is specified at 26.4mm wide, provide the exact tool model before ordering replacement fasteners.
The wide corrugated profile spans the joint between adjoining wood components and provides multiple engagement points in the surrounding wood. This makes corrugated fasteners useful for frame, cabinet, furniture and other woodworking joints where this fastening method is specified.
Provide GC2010 or GC2013, the required finish, purchasing quantity, application, tool manufacturer and model, and delivery destination. If replacing an existing fastener, include its exact width, length and thickness.
