KYA 16G110 hog rings are 16 gauge, 3/4" C-style collated rings designed for compatible pneumatic hog ring tools. The featured configuration uses a sharp point, galvanized steel wire, 110 rings per strip and 11,000 rings per box.
This 16G110 format is used for fencing, wire cages, netting, medium and large bag closure, nursery applications, bungee and shock cord attachment, insulation assemblies and other industrial C-ring fastening operations. It can also be used in selected mesh and gabion-related assemblies when the ring gauge, material, closure and project requirements are appropriate.

16 gauge C-ring: approximately 1.6 mm wire in the current KYA specification.
3/4" open crown: approximately 19 mm for medium-duty industrial C-ring fastening.
Sharp point: helps the ring enter fabric, burlap, netting and similar materials where controlled penetration is required.
Galvanized steel: zinc-coated steel for general corrosion protection.
Glue-collated strips: designed for compatible magazine-fed 3/4" 16GA hog ring tools.
110 rings per strip: high-capacity industrial collation format.
11,000 rings per box: standard high-volume packaging for 16G110-type C-rings.

The 3/16" dimension should be treated as a nominal or minimum closure reference rather than a guaranteed finished diameter in every application. Actual closure depends on the tool jaw profile, ring material, material bundle thickness and tool adjustment.
The 16G110 begins with an approximately 3/4" / 19 mm open crown. Compatible SC743-class tools commonly close 16G110-type rings to approximately 3/16"–11/32" inside diameter, depending on jaw setup and the materials being secured.
For production assemblies requiring a specific finished loop diameter, test the selected ring with the actual tool and workpiece before placing a large order.

The featured 16G110 uses sharp-point ring ends. Sharp points are useful when the ring must enter or pass through fabric, burlap, insulation covering, netting or similar material before the C-ring is completely closed.
For assemblies where piercing is not required and reduced exposed sharpness is preferred, a blunt-point 16G110B configuration may be more appropriate.

A compatible pneumatic tool forms the open C-ring around the materials being joined. The finished ring shape and inside diameter depend on the tool jaws and the thickness of the captured materials.

The current KYA configuration contains 110 collated rings per strip. With 11,000 rings in one box, a standard box contains approximately 100 strips.
Collation allows compatible pneumatic ring tools to feed fasteners continuously from the magazine. Reliable feeding still depends on the correct ring gauge, crown, collation pitch and magazine design.
The featured 16G110 is supplied in galvanized steel. The zinc-coated surface provides corrosion protection compared with uncoated steel and is commonly used for fencing, cages, bagging, nursery work and general industrial fastening.
The appropriate corrosion protection depends on moisture, chemicals, salt exposure, contact materials and expected service life. Standard galvanized steel should not automatically be treated as suitable for every marine or severe exterior application.
| Configuration | Typical Selection Consideration |
|---|---|
| Galvanized Steel | General industrial, fencing, caging, nursery and bag-closing applications where standard zinc protection is suitable. |
| Galfan / Zinc-Aluminum | Alternative coated steel option where increased corrosion resistance is required; confirm coating specification for the project. |
| Stainless Steel | For applications requiring higher corrosion resistance; confirm the stainless grade and environmental requirements. |
| Aluminum | Lightweight alternative available within the 16-110 family for suitable applications. |
Do not select the ring material solely by application name. The correct material depends on mechanical requirements, environmental exposure and compatibility with the wire, mesh or other components being joined.
Fencing: joining compatible wire mesh, fence sections and related components.
Animal cages: assembly and repair of wire cages and enclosures.
Traps and commercial fishing gear: fastening netting and mesh in compatible trap and pot assemblies.
Medium and large bag closure: closing compatible poly, mesh, burlap and fabric bags.
Nursery applications: root-ball, burlap, plant and pot tagging operations.
Bungee and shock cord: forming or securing loops and attachment points where a 3/4" C-ring is appropriate.
Cargo and protective netting: fastening compatible rope and netting components.
Insulation assemblies: selected heat and sound insulation fastening operations.
Automotive and bedding: selected seat, spring, ticking and border-wire fastening applications.

The 3/4" C-ring format is widely used for compatible fencing, wire mesh and cage assembly. The ring is positioned around the wire components and then compressed by the tool jaws to form the connection.
For fencing applications, confirm the wire diameter, number of wires captured by each ring, required ring spacing, environmental exposure and required mechanical performance.
SC743-class 3/4" C-ring systems are used for crab cages, commercial fishing traps, bait bags, cargo netting and other mesh or netting assemblies.
Where the installation is exposed to saltwater or aggressive environments, select a ring material and coating suited to the service conditions rather than relying on standard galvanized steel alone.
Industrial 3/4" C-ring tools are commonly used to close medium and larger poly, mesh, burlap and fabric bags. Sharp-point rings can assist where the ring needs to engage through fabric or similar bag material before closure.
The correct ring and closure setting should be selected according to the bag material, thickness and required retention.
KYA lists gabion and mesh assembly among the potential applications for 16G110-type hog rings. However, gabion systems can have specific requirements for lacing wire, ring wire diameter, coating, ring spacing and corrosion resistance.
For engineered gabion baskets or river mattresses, do not assume that a general-purpose 16GA 3/4" C-ring is automatically suitable. Confirm the gabion manufacturer's fastening specification and required coating before selecting the ring.
The 16G110 belongs to the established 3/4" 16 gauge C-ring platform. Several professional pneumatic tools are specifically documented for this fastener family.

BOSTITCH identifies RING16G110 as a 16 gauge, 3/4", sharp-point galvanized C-ring for the SC742B and SC743B pneumatic tools. The BOSTITCH version is also packed at 11,000 rings per box.
This makes the BOSTITCH 16G110 / SC743 platform an appropriate dimensional reference when evaluating KYA 16G110 for tool compatibility.
The Salco SC743-16 is designed for 16 gauge 3/4" RING16 C-rings and specifically lists 16G110, 16G110B and 16SS110-type fasteners. Its published closure range is approximately 3/16"–11/32".
SC760-type pneumatic hog ring tools use a different 16 gauge fastener platform. BOSTITCH SC760B and Salco SC760-16 are designed for approximately 1/2" RING516 C-rings, not 3/4" 16G110 rings.
For this reason, SC760 or SC760C should not be listed as direct 16G110-compatible tools unless a specific manufacturer version is independently confirmed for 3/4" rings.
The SC7 / SC7C family is commonly associated with a heavier 3/4" C-ring platform. KYA's current SC-7C specification lists approximately 23.7 mm crown and 1.8 mm ring thickness, while the featured 16G110 is approximately 19 mm open crown and 1.6 mm wire.
These products should therefore not be treated as interchangeable solely because both are described as 3/4" hog rings.
| Ring Family | Gauge | Open Size | Typical Tool Platform |
|---|---|---|---|
| RING516 | 16GA | 1/2" | SC760 / SC761 class |
| SR8 / 616 | 16GA | Approximately 11/16" | P7 / G7 class |
| 16G110 | 16GA | 3/4" | SC742 / SC743 class |
C-ring systems can differ substantially even when the wire gauge is the same. Crown size and tool jaw geometry are critical when matching rings to a pneumatic tool.
