KYA 19mm Polyester Composite Strapping is manufactured from polyester fibers with a protective polypropylene coating for professional bundling, palletizing and cargo-securing applications. The current KYA range includes two 19mm (3/4") configurations: Composite 60 CC/2 and Composite 65 CC/2.
The Composite 60 CC/2 configuration is published at 380/610 daN, while Composite 65 CC/2 is published at 475/760 daN. Both versions are supplied in 750m coils. Buyers should select the required strength class together with the corresponding wire buckle and tensioning equipment.

KYA publishes two 19mm composite strap configurations. Because they have different strength ratings, the required product code should be confirmed before ordering.
| Width | Product | Published Strength | Coil Length |
|---|---|---|---|
| 19mm (3/4") | Composite 60 CC/2 | 380 / 610 daN | 750m / coil |
| 19mm (3/4") | Composite 65 CC/2 | 475 / 760 daN | 750m / coil |
The paired strength figures are published by KYA as product-family values. Where a project requires a specific linear breaking strength or complete system strength, confirm the applicable strap, buckle and test configuration before purchase.
The KYA composite strapping range covers 13mm through 32mm. The table below preserves the currently published size, strength and coil-length information.
| Size | Product Name | Published Strength | Coil Length |
|---|---|---|---|

Ask About Composite Strap Sizes
KYA composite strapping is produced from polyester fibers covered with a polypropylene coating. The fiber construction provides tensile load capacity while the coating helps keep the filaments together and improves handling when the strap is passed around loads, beneath pallets and through compatible wire buckles.
The coated construction also provides additional protection against moisture compared with uncoated textile materials. Actual performance still depends on exposure conditions, storage period, chemicals, sunlight, temperature and the complete securing system.
Flexible Polyester Construction: Allows the strap to conform around compatible irregular or bundled loads.
19mm Width: Provides a wider contact area than smaller 13mm and 16mm composite straps.
Two Strength Options: Composite 60 CC/2 and Composite 65 CC/2 allow buyers to select different published strength classes within the same 19mm width.
750m Coil Length: Both published 19mm configurations use 750m coils.
Wire-Buckle Joint: Compatible wire buckles allow the strapping system to be tensioned and secured without conventional metal seals.
Non-Metallic Strap: The polyester/polypropylene strap itself does not form metallic rust.
Re-Tensioning: Wire-buckle systems can allow re-tensioning where the selected buckle, tensioner and load configuration permit it.
Polyester composite strapping can be used instead of steel strapping in suitable industrial bundling and cargo-securing applications, but it is not a universal direct replacement for steel.
Composite strap is flexible, relatively lightweight and does not have the cut metal edges associated with steel banding. Steel strapping may still be required where high temperatures, very sharp load edges, particular transport rules or higher system requirements make metal strapping more appropriate.
Select the securing material according to the required system strength and actual load conditions rather than comparing products only by strap width.
19mm composite strapping is intended for medium-to-heavy industrial bundling and load-securing applications where the selected strap-and-buckle configuration meets the required securing performance.
Steel tubes and metal profiles
Timber and lumber bundles
Palletized industrial goods
Aluminum products and profiles
Machinery and motors
Crates and export packaging
Mining and industrial equipment
Building-material bundles
Freight-forwarding and logistics packaging
Cargo securing where the specified strap-and-buckle system satisfies the applicable load requirements
For direct cargo lashing or transport-securement applications, calculate the required securing forces and confirm that the selected system complies with the applicable project and transport requirements.
Composite polyester strapping is secured using compatible wire buckles. The buckle should match the 19mm strap width, selected strength class and tensioning method.
System performance depends on the interaction between the strap and buckle. Changing buckle dimensions, wire diameter or buckle construction can change joint efficiency and the resulting system strength.
When replacing an existing strapping system, provide the current strap designation, buckle dimensions and required system strength so that the appropriate combination can be checked.
A tensioner used with 19mm composite strapping should be designed for the strap width, construction and required applied tension. Manual, battery-powered and pneumatic strapping equipment may be used where the individual tool specifications support the selected composite strap.
Do not assume compatibility based only on a tool being described as a 19mm tensioner. Check the accepted strap material, thickness, width and tension range before use.
The current KYA product information states that its polyester composite strapping has been tested and certified by Germanischer Lloyd. Where certification is required for a purchasing specification or cargo-securing project, request the current supporting documentation before ordering.
Confirm that any certificate or test document applies to the exact strap model, strength class, buckle configuration and intended application being purchased.
KYA's current product information lists printing with a company name or logo as available for composite strapping. Buyers requiring printed strap should provide artwork, print content, strap model, quantity and packaging requirements for confirmation.
For distributor or industrial orders, confirm the selected 19mm strength class, coil quantity, buckle requirement and delivery destination before quotation.
Choose between the published 380/610 daN Composite 60 CC/2 and 475/760 daN Composite 65 CC/2 configurations according to the required securing performance.
For load securing, determine the performance required from the complete strap-and-buckle system. Do not select a product solely from its nominal 19mm width.
The buckle should match the selected strap width and strength class. Where system strength is critical, request confirmation of the tested combination.
Sharp or abrasive load edges can damage composite strapping. Use suitable edge protectors where required by the packaged product or securing method.
Confirm that the tensioning equipment accepts 19mm composite strapping and can apply the required tension without exceeding the limits of the strap, buckle or packaged load.

KYA describes the product as polyester fibers protected by a clear polypropylene coating.
KYA currently publishes Composite 60 CC/2 at 380/610 daN and Composite 65 CC/2 at 475/760 daN.
Both published 19mm configurations are listed at 750 meters per coil.
KYA publishes 380/610 daN for Composite 60 CC/2 as a paired strength specification. If your purchasing requirement distinguishes linear strap strength and tested system strength, confirm the applicable test configuration and matching buckle before ordering.
KYA publishes 475/760 daN for Composite 65 CC/2. For projects requiring a specific system-strength value, confirm the strap-and-buckle combination represented by the published figure.
Composite polyester strapping can replace steel strapping in suitable applications, but not in every load-securing situation. Compare complete system strength, load edges, temperature, movement and applicable securing requirements before changing materials.
The polyester and polypropylene strap itself does not form metallic rust. Wire buckles and other steel components should still be selected for the expected environmental conditions.
The polypropylene coating provides additional moisture protection, but outdoor suitability depends on exposure duration, sunlight, temperature, chemicals, buckle material and the overall service environment.
Wire-buckle composite strapping systems can allow re-tensioning where the selected buckle, tensioning tool and load configuration permit it.
Use a compatible 19mm wire buckle matched to the selected Composite 60 CC/2 or Composite 65 CC/2 strap and the required system performance.
KYA's current product information states that composite strapping can be printed with a company name or logo. Provide the artwork, required strap model and order quantity for confirmation.
The current KYA product information references Germanischer Lloyd testing and certification. If certification is required for your project, request the current supporting documents and confirm that they cover the exact product and securing configuration being ordered.
