21 Degree Smooth Brite Duplex Strip Nails 3.3×72mm are high-quality plastic collated duplex framing nails specifically designed for temporary wood fastening applications. Featuring a unique double-head (duplex) design, these nails can be easily removed after use, making them ideal for concrete formwork, scaffolding, temporary bracing, and reusable wooden structures.
Manufactured from premium carbon steel with a bright (uncoated) finish, these duplex strip nails provide excellent driving performance while minimizing bending during installation. The smooth shank allows fast penetration into wood and makes nail removal easier than ring shank or screw shank nails.
These 21° plastic strip collated duplex nails are compatible with most popular 21-degree framing nailers designed for duplex nails. The 3.3mm diameter provides excellent strength, while the 72mm overall length ensures secure holding in heavy-duty temporary construction applications. Duplex nails are widely used because the exposed upper head allows easy extraction with a hammer after concrete curing or project completion.

The KYA Collated Duplex Nals are intended for temporary fastening of wood .for applications such as concrete formwork, bracing. orscaffolding asemblyThese duplex nalls have a large top nai head and an increased spacing between nalil heads to make it easier to pry the nails out of material. These Mlwaukeenalls feature a durable plastic colltion materialto stand up to the rigors of the jobsite.Availble in 2 lengths: 8D (2-1/4" Drivable Length/2-7/8 Total Length) & 16D (3" Drivable Length /3-5/8" Total Length).

| Shank Type | Performance | Recommended Use |
|---|---|---|
| Smooth Shank | Easy driving with standard holding power for general framing and construction. | General framing, carpentry and construction where maximum pullout resistance is not required. |
| Ring Shank | Rings grip wood fibers and provide stronger holding power than smooth shank nails. | Softer woods, sheathing, subflooring, pallets and applications requiring higher pullout resistance. |
| Screw Shank | Spins during driving to create a tight groove and improve holding strength. | Hardwoods and fastening applications where back-out resistance and enhanced hold are important. |
| Annular Thread Shank | Externally beveled rings improve grip and help prevent nail back-out. | Wood and sheet material fastening where strong withdrawal resistance is required. |

| Bright Finish | Uncoated fastener surface with no added corrosion protection. | Interior framing where moisture exposure and corrosion risk are low. |
| Electro Galvanized (EG) | Thin zinc layer for limited corrosion protection. | Indoor or protected construction with light humidity exposure. |
| Hot Dip Galvanized (HDG) | Zinc-coated finish designed to resist corrosion and rust. | Exterior construction, treated lumber and weather-exposed applications where HDG is specified. |
| Stainless Steel (SS) | High corrosion resistance option, including 304 or 316 grades when required. | Exterior, coastal, high-humidity and corrosion-sensitive construction applications. |
| Selection Point | Available Options | Recommendation |
|---|---|---|
| Nailer Compatibility | 20°, 21° and 22° plastic collation framing nailers | Confirm nailer angle, collation type, head type, diameter and length before ordering. |
| Shank Type | Smooth, ring, screw, annular thread | Choose ring or screw shank when stronger holding power and pullout resistance are required. |
| Finish | Bright, EG, HDG, SS | Use HDG or stainless steel for exterior, treated lumber or corrosion-sensitive applications. |
| Head Type | Full round head, clipped head | Match head type to tool compatibility and local building requirements. |
| Application | Framing, sheathing, subflooring, truss building, pallets and crates | Select nail length, diameter and finish according to wood thickness, exposure level and project specification. |
